Start Line is located at the DeWolfe Boston University Boathouse

• Enter from the door on Memorial Drive or go down the stairs and then go in the building and up to the main floor. The timing is located in one of the coaches offices.

Station Set up

The camera goes on the downstream end of the balcony, and the computer stations are inside the coaches’ office which is right next to the downstream end of the balcony. There is a plaque on the balcony railing which is labeled “Official Head of the Charles Starting Line”, and there is a pole across the river (which is in line with a tree so it is hard to see) that creates the starting line. On race day, Course places a highly visible marker on the Boston side of the river to mark the starting line. There are two independent stations set up at the start. The only integration between the stations is the cameras share a single tripod/mount.
